The Museum
These are from a trip to Cooperstown that 2.0, 15, CK and I took in early May of '08.
OK, so nothing here is really in a good order, since it's just based on how I walked through the Hall of Fame. Also, pardon the photos. It's an old camera, and I'm a lousy photographer.

Here's the little shrine to Stan Musial. There's going to be a lot of Cards pictures here, because 15 forgot her camera and I was in charge of recording things.

There's also going to be a lot of Brooklyn Dodger stuff. I looked into getting a Brooklyn cap, but they wanted $25 bones for 'em, and that's too ridiculous. I'd never seen a pennant with the Bum on it, but they sell them in the gift shop, so I guess they're a big item.

Maybe I can organize this a bit... This is from the Scribes and Mikemen exhibit.

Here's the whole of the Dodgers exhibit. Down at the bottom is this little guy...

Unfortunately, the dog vote did little to sway Walter O'Malley.

More Cards stuff. Sweet jacket there.

I assume this is Musial.

How awesome were the ladies' unis? The blue on there is from the South Bend team.

These are the only pictures of Yankee shit that I took. There's a lot of Suzyn Waldman crap in there for one reason or another.

That's her talking to Rivera, who has apparently been chucked into a trash can by the bullies on the team.

WOW IT'S HER MICROPHONE! No telling if it's the one used to record this. Or this.

This is a strike zone, with Ted Williams' guess as to what he'd hit if he saw every pitch in that location. I'm always surprised at how little red there is. I mean, if you grooved a pitch in the middle of the plate for a whole season, I think Williams would hit more than .400. Like in 1941, when he did hit more than .400.

Here's some Ted Williams stuff. Not a good picture.

There were two statues when you enter the Hall - Teddy Ballgame right here and Babe Ruth, not photographed. By the way, it is mind-boggling how good Babe Ruth was at baseball. It's like if Pedro and Manny were the same person.

Here's some Yaz stuff.

Finally, something Royals-y! Here's a base commemorating George Brett's 3,000th hit.

I like the Homer Hanky.

I really like the Milwaukee Brewers' old cap.

And, of course, the Padres.

Here's more George Brett stuff.

Every team has a locker with an example of its jersey and some stuff from the great moments that the team has had. It's a shame it's a black jersey.

There's the Sox locker. Little green thing at the bottom is a chunk of the Wall.

This was a nice section - statues of famous fans. This ol' gal was a Dodger fan back in the day. I have to imagine one day that the dude with the drum in the Jake will be there.

Bad picture of the Royals world championship ring.

Another not great photo of the Sox, ChiSox, and Cards rings of 04-06. Unfortunately, none of my pictures of the '03 Marlins monstrosity came out well. Seriously, check that thing out, it is brutal. It's twice the size of the Cards one, at least. It cannot be overstated how hideous that thing is.

A sweet, sweet Cards sweater.

Oh, there's a gameball from ... every? I didn't notice... most no-hitters. There's Clay's.

There's the corner of Ebbets Field. Pretty sweet.

An old pinwheel from Comiskey.

The "Official Green Weenie." I don't know.

There was a temporary exhibit of baseball board games throughout the years - this was illustrated by Thomas Nast.

Then there's this awesomeness.

My Mom's favorite as a kid, Duke Snider. I don't know why I didn't get a picture of his plaque.

And here begin the plaques.

Good ol' Fisk.

My Dad got nervous every time he did a backflip.

We were supposed to see this updated to mention that he was, you know, the first black dude in the majors, but there was an emergency in the Robinson family.

That is one motherfucker of a mustache.

Musial.

Teddy Ballgame, holla.

Ha! Hahahahahahaha! Ha! Oh, man, that's good.
Yeah, so there's Cooperstown. Not photographed: People, as always; the proponderance of Sox fans over any other sort of fandom; the cute little Norman Rockwell painting that is Cooperstown; the brewery we went to.
