Tree ought to like this one. Jen has recently inherited quite a bit of my psychopathic anger.
This strip was inspired by some guy reading the Post on the subway above me the day that Zell Miller gave his speech at the GOP convention - he was the Democrat from Mississippi or Georgia or somewhere who went Benedict Arnold and spoke at the RNC. I think their doofy headline was 'Mad As Zell' or something, and the day before, when Arnold spoke at the convention, the front page was 'Conan the American.' Holy God, you call that journalism? Crikey! (In case you can't tell by the super-timely RNC references, I drew this one a while ago.)
Oh, the bit about not getting their facts straight... I'm pretty sure this made the national news, but in case someone outside of NY didn't hear about it, this was the cover the day that Kerry picked Edwards as his running mate:
I'm not even going to address the factual inaccuracy, but look at the picture of Kerry and Gephardt - they're going to make out! I wouldn't be surprised if the Post photoshopped that one. They've done it in the past. For instance:

This gem ran in February of 2003, the day before 10 million people worldwide protested Bush. Those would be the French and the German UN officials with weasels Photoshopped over their heads. I can't make this stuff up, this actually ran as the cover. Anyway, that's the paper owned by Rupert Murdoch, who has basically said he'd be doing everything possible to help Bush win reelection.
I won't lie, I read the Post on-line from time to time, to see how badly they're distorting the day's news, or to check in whenever the Goat Fuckers are in a skid or get pounded to historical proportions.

You knew I had to get to this eventually. I'm allowing myself one day to speak (actually, two, I think tomorrow's comic may involve the Sox in some way). It's great how not-timely this headline is. In case anyone's wondering, here are today's.

Man, that is some good stuff. I don't even know where I am right now - I guess work, since I'm working on the site. Man. Wow. Yeah, more on this tomorrow, once I've regained a deal of my sanity.
