This is the last strip where they're at the bar, and things pick up a fair sight on Wednesday, I swear. There's a few glitches in the strip, too, but I can't find the original file to tidy it up. Sorry 'bout that.
The phone number in the first panel's is my friend Leahy's.
Good sports weekend for me. Sox took two of three from the Goat Fuckers, and the Irish beat the living shit out of Washington, 38-3. All of a sudden, we have a passing game, which is a little unnerving. Also, Cheryl had a croquet match in Prospect Park as the concluding event of her birthday festivities. I danced on the bones of my opponents, showing no consideration to the birthday girl and crushing everyone like so many ants. Proving that I am, without doubt, a dick.
My mother turned 63 yesterday. Yet another in the calvacade of birthdays since this site began. I'm not linking to her e-mail, because she doesn't know that I have this site, and also because she says that her e-mail is full, and I don't think I've gotten her to understand how to empty it yet. Don't worry, she had a good birthday. I gave her my tickets to the Washington game (which, as it turns out, were in the very last row above the student section, so I'm glad that I wound up with Skow's tickets to the Michigan game, instead).
Good news to NYC-area Five Buckers, you can buy wine seven days a week now! Used to be the wine shops were all closed on Sunday, but evidently, now they're only closed on Sunday if they want to be. Astor Wines is apparently open 12-5 on Sundays, so that's a start. I'll have to investigate the new neighborhood to see which of the local cellars have decided to liberate my Sunday evenings from sobriety.
Strindberg and Helium requires sound, but is perfectly safe for work. It amused me.
I also quite enjoy today's Scary-go-round.
We're having a lovely Indian Summer here in New York. I hope the weather is nice wherever you are, too. On deck for tomorrow, an addition to the museum section, more pornographic watches, and whatever lunacy I find on-line today. Whoo!
(Oh, actually, we're supposed to get a ton of rain tomorrow - so the update may be late or I may miss my first update since starting this site. If nothing's up by 10:30, ain't nothing coming up. Sorry. Wednesday will be super-crazy to make up for it.)
