Comic for Friday, May 20th

RAW wrote me all excited about some news from E3 the other day, and I actually had a minute to kick around Gamespy yesterday morning. Looks like Nintendo's doing the re-imagining thing with Super Mario Bros. That's pretty rockin'.
I'm worried about Ivor. He sent me this.
Crownover found this gem in Gawker. Sweet! 2.0 and I actually traded off rounds on what I guess was our first actual date, mostly because we couldn't figure out if we were actually on a date, or what.
Sports Guy's new intern posted this link because it had to do with 90210. I think the fact that two paragraphs about Alan Thicke are thrown in at the end is what makes it work, though. It's like the web guy didn't want to create a whole new page for two lines about Alan Thicke. Which, being a web guy, I completely understand.
Actually found a review of Sith that says it succeeds despite its sucktitude. I figure someone I can actually trust will see it soon, and I'll believe whatever they say about it, and then pop in my VHS of the first movie. Slate also has these two guys talk about the movies, and this guy runs a primer that points out all the continuity flaws that Lucas created with these last three "films". It all depresses me very much.
Anyway, enough links - I have to get back to the never-ending stream of crap that the LA office is throwing at me. Weddingpalooza is being delayed a week - what with the car issues, there's no way I can make it to Ohio this weekend. A shame, really, I was hoping to see my extended family gathered in a context other than burying our grandparents. My cousin Scott's a good guy, and I liked his fiance the time I met her. I am also quite fond of Scott's little sister, Beth Ann, who just gravitated from collitch last weekend, and was looking forward to seeing her. Unfortunately, can't happen. Pretty miffed about that.
The other little thing I wanted to comment on is that, on Sunday, it will have been five years since I gravitated from collitch myself. I can't freaking believe it. Not only does that mean I've been away from Notre Dame and the friends I made there longer than we were together, it means - actually, no, that's really all I had, I guess. Still, unfreakingbelievable. Five years? Five years since RAW, Bitter, Sweats and Keebler and were up 'til six reminiscing in 367 Alumni before I caught an hour of sleep and drove back to Albany? Five years since Sweaty's little brother came into my dorm room to PlayStation while I was packing the room up that final day? Five years since Keebler passed out in the hallway and we hid his mattress in the shower? Five years since Mikey and I empited a whole thing of EZ Cheez into a bowl after playing basketball for shots (two things there - there's not nearly as much aerosol cheese in a can as you'd expect, and basketball for shots is a world-class terrible idea)? How is any of this possible? Dear Lord, I feel old.
