The triumphant return of the ladies! Or something. It had been a while.

Randomness abounds today. I was trying to figure out what to make for dinner on Friday, and figured a good place to get recipes would be the food blogs that I mentioned in Friday's post. A few real good ones out there. Simply Recipes has a good recipe for pasta and sausages or something (I made this last night - it was friggin' awesome). Iheartbacon has a great name and bacon-related links. The best recipes I found came off of Domestic Goddess, though. Yes, I went to a site called Domestic Goddess. Screw you all.

Anyone want a fine-art print of Journey's Steve Perry dressed up as Robocop? By God, the web is a fascinating place.

Sports Illustrated's Dr. Z shares a tale of covering a Super Bowl with Hunter S. Thompson. I can think of few thinks more threatening to mind and body than hanging with Hunter S. back in the 70s.

More sports-ishes, one of the lists on McSweeney's on Friday almost killed me. It's stuff the announcers would say if classic sports rivalries' mascots were taken literally, and the team were battling to the death. The title doesn't do it justice.

Gawker linked to the Borowitz Report the other day. I guess it's a dude writing a less-funny Onion every day or something. But I like this one, about the Harvard prof saying ladies suck at math, for its closing line. And now that I read a few of them, he ends every article with an 'elsewhere,' and then something actually funny. Maybe just read the headline and the last paragraph. And what's with that picture?

Ending with the (now outdated, since I read about this on Friday) political: Fuck my eye, Cheney is an ingrate.
