Nope, didn't get arrested or pepper-sprayed while in DC. The Blizzard of 2005, while really not that big of a deal, apparently rendered the MTA totally useless. F-train service in Brooklyn past Jay Street was pooched, and the nice man in the booth told me to take the B75 bus to Jay in order to hop the train. The nice man in the booth did not tell me that the B75 may as well be Snuffalupagus for all the tangibility of the thing. So I walked to the R at 4th and 9th, which is kinda far, and eventually made it in. So, if you were concerned about my commute, there you go.

Over the years, my friends have asked me many times what it is I do. Ron's explanation of his job in today's strip is about as close as I've ever come to actually answering the question. This does nothing to try and get 2.0 from ceasing in insisting that Ron and I am the same person. I think I'm going to have to give Ron a raging smack addiction in order to get that through to her.

There will be details on DC, including my very nice visits with E and RAW and his pooch Molly.

Two quick links and then let's get this thing up.

This has already been sent to me by half my Domers, but for the ones who haven't heard yet, tragedy has struck CJ's. The article is written by a pre-schooler or maybe someone with a Ball State journalism degree, but it seems as if a building scheduled for demolition was demolished, but demolished on such a way that it fell on CJ's. While people were in it. There's that great South Bend planning! Non-Domers: CJ's was a burger joint and underage bar. An underage bar owned, by the way, by a state assemblyman's brother or something like that, and thereby immune to ND's draconian bust-underage-bars policy. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the university's doing, frankly.

And Lauren sent me this, an issue that touches me very deeply. Free the Grapes (and make wine out of them)!

More tomorrow, hopefully on schedule.
