I just noticed that I have Ron drinking a beer immediately after brushing his teeth. Eh, he's probably drunk and not thinking too clearly.

Somebody put this in a Fark photoshop last week. I thought it was a joke. I guess Lucas will milk Star Wars for all it's worth.

Which reminds me. 2.0 saw an ad for Hide and Seek and would like legislation passed so that De Niro can't act in any more movies. I think this a movement I can get behind. Look at his body of work since Heat. I actually liked Meet the Parents, but for God's sake, the man made a sequel to Analyze This. The same law should apply to Pacino, who just seems to get louder in every film he's in (and who appeared in Gigli for a purpose of advancing the plot - I make that specification because Walken had an awesome nonsequitor appearance in Gigli). Also: Coppola directed Jack, the move with Robin Williams as the seven-year old who has that disease where he gets old. That shouldn't've happened. Halle Berry, obviously, should not only have had her Oscar stripped for Catwoman, but probably should be shot, also, for good measure. I suppose the same applies to Angelina Jolie, but I have a soft spot in my heart for her because she's so fucking insane. George Lucas, clearly, should be hung, drawn and quartered for what he's done.

This doesn't just apply to actors and directors, either - musicians should obviously be forced to stop making new material that damages the integrity of their older stuff. I mean, I love the Pumpkins, but as Sports Guy said one time, if Billy Corgan had killed himself in '94, he and Kurt probably would be the Magic and Bird of grunge rock. U2 probably should've stopped after Achtung. Paul, after the Beatles broke up. For some reason, I'm unable to think of any good examples here. This isn't to say musicians shouldn't try new stuff, but it's like, I mean, does Neil Young need to be recording still? Is he adding anything to the body of music out there? I suppose you could say the same thing about Dylan, but Time Out of Mind was fantastic, and "Love and Theft" (it's always in quotes, for some reason) was good.

Michael Crichton should've quit right after the Jurassic Park goodwill ran out. Oh, the better example here would actually be Rolling Stone. Instead of ruining what Rolling Stone's name used to stand for, they should really just stop.

Kind of how like Calvin & Hobbes stopped when Watterson was still doing his best work. Far Side, too.

Of course, nothing qualifies me to make these statements, but ain't that what having a blog is all about?
