When I thought this one up (it's ridiculous how many of the strips I think up while on the subway), I figured the Children's Place's website would bear some vague resemblence to the ad campaign that plagues my morning commute, and that that could help my non-New York readers understand my gripe. Not so. Then I was reading something about child actors in an article in W magazine waiting for my dental appointment yesterday (26.5 years and counting of no cavaties - bow before me!), and I figured a link to that would help illustrate my point. As it turns out, W magazine does not post much of its content on-line. Sonofa! So, you know, whatever. The kids in the ads are cute, but I thought about it for too long, and now they annoy me.

A combination of being really busy, somewhat hungover, and scheduled for a dental appointment killed my lunch hour and any time I had to spend on this update, so here are a few brief items

Screens from Katamari Damacy 2, already!

A penis navel ring! (SFW, but use your better judgment if your office is especially draconian)

I used to defend Courtney Love. I thought she got a bad rap what with the whole maybe-she-killed-Kurt thing. But then she goes out and says stuff like this, and now I just want her to go away.

This has already made a few huge sites, but I figured I'd mention it anyway. I've never really gotten Da Ali G show, but this is hilarious. Better still is the way the article is written. You know how in 5th grade, they'd make you write a newspaper article or something, and tell you to kind of structure it like an inverted triangle? Start broad, go specific? This is like the exact opposite of that. Dude starts with all the specifics of the event, and mentions that it was an Ali G set-up in the last few paragraphs. It's a newspaper article, not a friggin' narrative, dude. Still, hilarious.

Oh, it's Tree's birthday tomorrow. Yell at him.
