Whooo! Black and white and arty.

Posted: 12:30 am, Monday, July 27th

There's my love letter to Di Fara's. I don't know if this worked out exactly like I had it in my head, but close enough.

I am zonked after five days trekking all over Portland and kind of some of Washington. I need to go to bed. Unfortunately, it's only 9:30 out here, so I probably am going to force myself to stay up another few hours.

The Thorougly Unpleasant One -- Monday, July 27 2009, 02:26 pm

Dom's pizza is delicious, but he has some pretty bad posture from leaning over all those pies. Maybe you should get him one of these http://www.iposture.com/index.php Sorry, I don't know why I feel compelled to post the stupidest things I see to your lovely site. If you're still in Portland and haven't had any Stumptown roasters cappuccino yet, you probably should.

I expect a love letter to Powell's on Wednesday. Frankly, I wish every town had a place like Powell's. And no, Barnes and Noble doesn't count.

Expect a love letter to Portland. That town did not disappoint. The dining options out there are outstanding! The coffee...outstanding! The beer...outstanding! Parks, people, weather (yes weather!) and general vibe of the city...outstanding! If my wallet wasn't stolen I would say the trip was completely unblemished.

I don't know who all is following the Mets debacle right now in NY - Ondy, I know you are - but there is a hilarious bit of juxtaposition at the bottom of this Adam Rubin article in today's web Daily News.
