Did anyone - whoa, what?
Did anyone see this crazy article in the Times about the Nazi doctor who was hiding in Egypt for all those years? Just wild.
Also in the Times, an incredibly awesome NYC in tiny Lego sculpture photo-essay from earlier in the week. My love for this link is difficult to express.
YESnew Andrew WK shouting about parties.
2.0 and I had a lengthy discussion the other day on the massive failings of Benedict XVI as a pope. As I just said, they are massive. This one is particularly offensive. Shouldn't a Pope who was conscripted into the JG really distance himself from Holocaust deniers? I'm just saying.
Seriously, the shirt I bought the other day is mad awesome.
Bloom County is being recollected, and annotated.
I haven't done a Photoshop Phriday link in forever (phorever?)(ow!), but these re-imagined video game covers are freaking awesome.
My affection for Nightmare Before Christmas is well-documented, and I am very excited about Coraline, even though I am somehow unfamiliar with Gaiman's source material. Winter break is the week after next, and I'm planning on hitting the matinee a few times to check this out and the sure-to-suck bastardization of Friday the 13th. (That's how little esteem I have for Michael Bay - he'll fuck up a poorly acted slasher flick.)
This is great. NSFW audio, so listen to it at home over the weekend.

Tempest621 -- Friday, February 6 2009, 08:13 am About time they hooked up, I've been waiting for that since the line "He thinks I mean in the lineup!"
51 -- Friday, February 6 2009, 08:17 am Omg, Jen's going to go POSTAL. I think Ron and Lissa make a good couple though, if they decide to stay together.
2.0 -- Friday, February 6 2009, 08:35 am Whoa.
I totally didn't see that coming.
CK -- Friday, February 6 2009, 09:47 am Whoo boy! Looking forward to Monday already.
Coach -- Friday, February 6 2009, 12:05 pm As I enjoy a good chat about the Pope and the Catholic Church, I think the issue with the Church right now is their willingness to reconcile with far-right radical groups. I mean, I can get all Da Vinci Code on us and start talking about Opus Dei in the Church. The Church bringing back the Latin Mass and looking back past the positives gains from Vatican II. It is a depressing state of affairs from the Vatican to the Archdiocese of Newark. By bringing in the fringe elements into Church, they alienate me and other "Cafeteria Catholics". (I am obviously speaking more broadly than Holocaust deniers as I am sure even Rich "Man on Dog" Santorium is offended by the Holocaust deniers…) This unfortunate dance with the Devil is due because the Church views us “Lax” Catholics as being done with the Church and these nutters as the area where they can maintain the falling Church’s attendances. This is probably more problematic in places like Europe where nearly almost no one goes to Church anymore and people with these radical views are likely to attend services if the Church does this dance. I am really losing hope for my Church. I just wish on an occasion, they would simply just call these fuckers a “motherfucker!” and move on…

RJF -- Friday, February 6 2009, 04:27 pm Jen brought this upon herself.
That said, I remember Lissa saying she wouldn't go for Ron (sober) unless he worked out some issues first. I wonder if that will hold up in the morning. I hope so - I like the two of them as a potential couple.
2.0 -- Friday, February 6 2009, 05:31 pm If it doesn't hold up in the morning then...well that's a total clusterf*** of a hook-up. Yikes!
I wish I had been paying more attention to Jeremiah's drawing, but he's always doing the strip when I'm doing Yoga. Now I know why.
Wood -- Friday, February 6 2009, 11:54 pm Several Comments.
First go Ron, I knew you had it in you. The sun shines on every dogs ass once in a while.
Second, skanks across america, I think I pooped myself watching, fantastic pull.
Third, frog, please rate ron's hookup on the newly normalized scale provided by xkcd http://www.xkcd.com/540/
Fourth, I had an ND polo on at the bar tonight and got a long lecture from some random about how Jimmy Claussen is over rated. Where did you go to school i ask? USC is the response. After extinguishing my cigarette in the mans beer the resulting confrontation resulted in my expulsion from the bar. The ND polo is untarnished however and I believe there is a Notre Dame 2008 class ring impression on some Southern Cal fan's left cheek.
I pray this has amused you all
Miyaa -- Saturday, February 7 2009, 12:23 am Geeze. First Questionable Content, now Five Bucks. Must have been the cold freeze in the Northeast for there to be suggested sexual nudity.
Coincidentally, I'm moving to the West Coast, and I'm presently stuck in a "moderately" priced hotel room along I-80 awaiting for this snowstorm to pass through. Wyoming is definitely Pete's kind of state.
Pat S. -- Saturday, February 7 2009, 02:12 am Whoa snap, major plot development here. I figured this was coming at that wedding thing though.
This edition is rated PG-13?
Miyaa -- Sunday, February 8 2009, 09:51 am So who is more likely to go postal: Jen or Pete?
