Comic for Friday, January 16, 2009

What, too much? Anyway, I find it worth mentioning that at least Pete is *asking* before putting Ron's underwear on. That's just the sort of considerate dude he is.
I love everything about today's Doonesbury. The Say What is perfect, the mudline is perfect. Great, great, great.
So, did the plane sink, or did they tow it out or something? Wild. Awesome work by the pilot. (I guess it was towed down river.)
My kids handed in their big memoir projects yesterday (some of them did, anyway). They are freaking hilarious. One little girl read to class a story about how she fought her cousin with a kitchen knife. Class was riveted!
Alright, I have to go. Sorry.

CK -- Friday, January 16 2009, 09:38 am I don't keep up with Doonesbury except when I go home and read the paper. Do they have an Obama symbol/character yet? What is it?
e -- Friday, January 16 2009, 09:50 am It's that time of year again! Happy Lee/Jackson Day! Oh how does one celebrate? Hardtack for lunch?
Bullfrog -- Friday, January 16 2009, 11:17 am Geez, I don't think there is an Obama stand-in yet...
ad -- Friday, January 16 2009, 12:52 pm Seems fitting that Trudeau doesn't even bother to show the helmet; I'm not sure there would be anything left. And I'm quite interested in what Obama will end up being in the strip.

Bullfrog -- Saturday, January 17 2009, 08:54 am I am super-confused as to how spam keeps getting on here.
2.0 -- Saturday, January 17 2009, 10:13 am Too much.
Miyaa -- Saturday, January 17 2009, 06:41 pm Either it's hand-fed in, or they've figured out how to read the code?
RAW -- Sunday, January 18 2009, 09:55 am Skynet is getting ever closer to finding Sarah Connor.
This is the first spam I've noticed since adding the captcha. Has it appeared other times? There are spammers capable of reading simple images (e.g. the one on this site), but I didn't think they would bother with this site.
Bullfrog -- Sunday, January 18 2009, 02:15 pm One got on last weekend, too. It's nothing pornographic or too annoying, so I'm not worried about it.
I saw some of T3 a few weeks ago - what a major drop-off in quality from the original two films that was. The original was on the very next day, and while some of the effects have obviously aged very badly (the exoskeleton at the end looks a lot like the skeletons from Jason and the Argonauts), it's still a unique and effective vision. It's got a lot in common with Halloween, actually.
Bullfrog -- Sunday, January 18 2009, 04:37 pm Bushisms, go away!
