A surprising amount of thought.

Posted: 6:00 am, Wednesday, January 14th

I have completed Sharks in Venice, and it was never not brilliant. Watch it. Best bad movie I've ever seen. Much more than I can say for this. (From the sounds of it - I haven't seen it.)

Six days until the Era of Shitwit ends! I can't believe we've almost made it.

On sale next Tuesday (inauguration day), tickets to the Baracklyn Cyclones game!

Also, feast your eyes on the hotness I bought yesterday. That is exciting.

2.0 can't believe I can remember Ken Jennings' name. I can only kind of not believe that *she* can't remember his name, but I completely can't believe that she can't believe that *I* can remember his name. I'm a repository for bullshit like that. Anyway, Ken Jennings has a blog. (Ken Jennings was the Mormon guy who kicked ass on Jeopardy! for several months back in 2004.)

I haven't bought a comp album in years, but this War Child benefit has got my dollars. The Hold Steady doing Atlantic City? Beck doing Dylan (except I would've rather, of course, Desolation Row)? Lily doing the Clash? YYYs and the Ramones? Sweet. Nice pairing of artists and covers.

Happy hump day, loyalists.

"Understanding", that's pretty funny man.

Going to see "The Wrestler" tonight.

I commission you to write a review for the site. I'm hoping to get that one while it's still in the theatres.

How're things? Haven't heard from you in a while.

I went to see Ken Jennings speak at the Borders in Columbus Circle when he was on tour for his book BRAINIAC, and he was a really fun and nice guy. And I highly recommend the as a fun and fascinating read -- like WORD FREAK for trivia geeks. (Plus it features my college Quiz Bowl team and a number of my former teammates.)

Also -- what comprises a vegan chair? No leather?

Bullfrog -- Wednesday, January 14 2009, 10:30 am

Hell if I know.

@CK, @Bullfrog: A vegan chair is, obviously, a chair that tries not to consume animal products of any kind.
