The annual Christmas meltdown.

Posted: 6:30 am, Friday, December 12th

I'm still depressed about the Day the Earth Stood Still remake. Why do that? The original was such a masterpiece of Cold War fiction (holla, Drolett!).

I think I posted this last year, but, yay for real trees. I have to buy a stand and a tree tomorrow. Oh, damn, I forgot to get my Christmas cards from the ... Um, never mind. Shoot. I'm way behind (as with everything else this year). Public apology number 105 for how busy and disconnected I am.

Geez, I had a whole bunch of other stuff I wanted to mention, and I've gone and forgotten it. I'll pick this back up in the morning.

It's morning. I still have relatively little. It turns out I've just been teaching a lot, and that's not terribly interesting. I'll rob a bank over the weekend and get back to you about it, 'kay?

Honest to God, I thought Bettie Page had been dead for years.

I know a certain burlesque dancer who will be very sad tonight.

Wow, the Sox changed their road unis back to the early 80s style. Hm. I don't see why they did this.

I totally forgot about DT and her love of Betty Page. Awww. Shoot.

I will have to go send my condolences.

I personally want Jen to take her long walk and veer quickly to a short pier.

The local paper had this as the headline for their review of the New Day the Earth Stood Still:

Keanu Reeves plays an emotionless alien. Wow, what a stretch.
