Pete vs. Mega-Pete.

Posted: 6:50 am, Thursday, July 3rd

First things first, I am so taking tomorrow off. We'll be back on Monday, and hopefully I'll have built up a little bank of strips through at least Wednesday, because that ought to keep me from totally losing my mind keeping the site up and running next week. (I think I may have hit some sort of wall this week, with the extra hour and a half of being attentive a day. And I really thought it would be easier, because of no longer moving apartments. I was wrong! Again!)

Who else do we know who was wrong? The Red Sox! What the fuck, seventh inning. Not only did you, you know, totally lose the fucking game, but you took nearly an hour, which cost me more sleep. Argh. Also, I would like to note that if Julio Lugo wasn't a total suck, he wouldn't've felt the need to slide into the shortstop to break up a double play with the fastest man alive running down the baseline to first, and that would've added a run. Which would've tied the game. GREAT JOB, LUGO. Somebody shoot him and call Lowrie back up.

As my dad said when I talked to him briefly last night, 'what else have [I] been up to?' Nothing, Dad. Nothing. I'll check in with more gobbledygook on Monday and maybe over the weekend, but for now, I've got to chug some coffee and drag my ass to school. Startin' the Piano Lesson today! Or on Monday. Eventually. I don't even know.

I'm pretty sure this is one of those internet wildfire type things that has reached every human with a computer except for me, but just in case I'm wrong and you wanted to get absolutely nothing done today, I implore you:

Seriously, Grafe, it's a must-do.

Tampa Bay is twenty games above .500 and have a 3 1/2 game lead against Boston.

Mad props to Miyaa and MJL for keeping discussion alive, because, God, I'm just afraid this is what this is going to be from now on. I'm doing the best I can, crowd, but, yeah, such is the life of a teacher. ad, however you comment on this site, I applaud you.

Mj - that block game is crazy addictive.

Bullfrog -- Friday, July 4 2008, 01:06 pm

Rest in hell, Jesse Helms.

Miyaa -- Friday, July 4 2008, 04:48 pm

Which level? I would peg him as a eighth level of hell kind of guy, assuming he's down there.

Miyaa -- Friday, July 4 2008, 04:50 pm

Also, just as I saw this...

...they have overtime for Competitive Eating competitions?! What the hell?!

Bullfrog -- Friday, July 4 2008, 06:22 pm

I think a case can be made for the Ninth Circle. Fighting against civil rights is doing your country a disservice, and as a US senator, that was his job. So he can be considered a traitor to your homeland. That gets your head eaten in a lake of ice, I believe.

And, yeah, wow, a sudden-death eat off? Ugh.
