REBEL FIST, ATTACK!

Posted: 6:50 am, Tuesday, July 1st

I can't believe something I just heard on the Sox game. First off, about seven years ago, Sweaty and I were drinking at some random bar in Q-town (I think I've told this story before), and there was this old drunk at the bar next to us. He was going on about baseball, and told us that he could get a hit off any man in Major League Baseball, except for Troy Percival. This was when Pedro was still PEDRO, and Randy Johnson was still the Big Unit. He also didn't get a joke the barkeep told about the Rolling Stones and the Who. So we ignored him. But I just heard on the Sox broadcast that Percival has the lowest BAA in major league history out of anyone with over 400 appearances. My head asplode.

So I'm putting off writing an essay for my Fellows thing, and am totally going to force myself to get a touch over six hours of sleep tonight, and I've found a few things to linky-link to in the meantime. Oh, first things first, I don't have a moniker ready to drop on 51's Li'l Sis, but she may be happy to know that I am actually awarding her a name in my cell phone, instead of keeping her listed by reference to her sister.

Second, God dammit, Sox.

Third, Michigan's rumored new road uniforms look nice and shitty, truly befitting the Wolverines.

I love it - this dude with the last name Gay set a new record in the 100 the other day (wind-aided, so it's unofficial), and this mouth-breathing news organization down in the state that has four i's and still can't see has a filter that replaced his last name with homosexual, instead.

Speaking of mouth-breathers, evolution is under attack, still and again, 150 years after it came around. More importantly, it's Mojo Jojo!

Are you aware that Tupac has 20 unreleased albums still? That means, 4 albums while he was alive, and as many as 37 albums after he died, according to AllMusic. Wow.

Because even on cable, there's a whole lot of nothing on most of the time, we caught a bit of 60 Minutes the other day. There was a segment on Will Smith, who I can't believe is 39. (And I thought *I* was old!) Anyway, it talks a lot about what a great guy he is. And he is. For someone who believes you and I are haunted by trillion-year old alien ghosts. Or whatever the fuck.

Wait, what?

Barack's iPod:

If Desolation Row was his favorite Dylan tune, I probably would've sploded for the second time in this post. So it's a good thing he went with the more labor-friendly Maggie's Farm. (Right? That's what that's about?)

Um, I need a little more out of my money shots.

Anyway...OMG I am putting that on my google calendar right this second!!!

skt -- Tuesday, July 1 2008, 09:14 am

yow! thanks.

CK -- Tuesday, July 1 2008, 11:45 am

Two good money shots today -- the trailer (woo!) and Jen's decking here!

A book deal just announced in a publishing newsletter: Coolio's COOKIN' WITH COOLIO. I am not making that up.

Sox haven't won since you got HD/interwebs.

I'm just sayin'.

So, if the Rays win the pennant, should I be expecting a quartet of horsemen running around? Or is it more likely to happen if McCain wins? Because either way, I'm going to have to leave a forwarding address in either case.

Bullfrog -- Tuesday, July 1 2008, 07:08 pm

Untrue, the Sox won Friday night, and we got the webbery on Friday afternoon!
