Comic for Monday, March 24th, 2008

Well, I hope everyone else's bracket is in better shape than mine. I tied a personal record of futility by losing a Final Four team in the first round. Why did I believe in UConn? I cannot explain that. And there was the Irish clusterfuck that thankfully I barely saw anything of - dinner plans made before I knew what time we'd be playing. Whoever the director of CBS 2 in New York is must be a Badger, also, because we got to see a lot of Wisconsin over the weekend.
2.0 and I had a nice little Easter yesterday, and I finally picked up my bike that my parents got me for Christmas. (I had wisely forgotten to bring home the bike rack back in December.) I'm pretty excited about the journey to the farmer's market on the weekend not taking half the day anymore.
Aaaaand... Geez, it turns out I am phenomenally boring when I'm unemployed and just going to church constantly because it's Holy Week. I am happy to report that Netflix started hitting us with BSG Season 3, so we ought to be all caught up by next Friday's season 4 kick-off. One vaguely interesting - and I am stretching the bounds of what can honestly be called vaguely interesting - thing from church (see?) was a note in accompanying the Passion of Christ (not to be confused with The Passion of The Christ) to not blame the Jews for Christ's crucifixion (also not to be confused with The Passion of The Christ). I found it odd that that note needed to be made, but, yeah, I guess that's about where we are in 'Merica sometimes.
Alright, I hope somebody out there had something fascinating happen to them, that they care to share with the group, because I have pretty clearly run out of things to talk about.

e -- Monday, March 24 2008, 08:28 am Anyone else watching the John Adams miniseries? I'm lovin' it, but I am a history dork.
Miyaa -- Monday, March 24 2008, 09:12 am I did not see Davidson beating Georgetown. But the tourney has been mostly as expected this year.
Ever considered turning Five Bucks into your full-time job? It would be a challenge, but I think you could pull it off.
Bullfrog -- Monday, March 24 2008, 10:09 am I'd love for that to happen, but I believe I'm about... ten thousand readers a day short to make that happen? Maybe?
That miniseries is right in your wheelhouse, E.
That Davidson game was great. For some reason, my mother really dislikes Georgetown, she was fired up for that action.
RAW -- Monday, March 24 2008, 12:41 pm To continue the discussion from the weekend...
I would also suggest Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle and Cypress Hill's Black Sunday.
Bullfrog -- Monday, March 24 2008, 12:46 pm Excellent. Whatever I don't procure legally, I will... procure legally at a later date. Ahem.
I can't believe the Sox play an official game in like seventeen hours. That's so weird.
Dan -- Monday, March 24 2008, 01:17 pm My mom told all her third graders to go watch John Adams, since they were covering history and such in class.
Then she sat down and watched it herself. Cursing, torture, and other fun things!
Whoopsie!
Bullfrog -- Monday, March 24 2008, 01:56 pm Oh, man! I hope that doesn't get to the PTA!

Pat -- Monday, March 24 2008, 03:04 pm I, for one, am enjoying this one-woman show storyline. It certainly reflects the navel-gazing that is the personal-storyline one-person show. And I say that as someone who enjoys personal-storyline one-person shows.
Why do this girl's breasteses increase in size each day? Just curious.
Bullfrog -- Monday, March 24 2008, 03:30 pm I think I actually toned it down a bit from the first day of the show..

I always wound up drawing Kelly as a little chestier than the other girls, for some reason, so I probably just overdid it from strip to strip during this sequence. But that just means I'm doing less copy-and-paste.
todd -- Tuesday, March 25 2008, 01:43 am Responding to your question regarding Springsteen's Darkness on the Edge of Town album from the other day:
It's a must have album, but there's a deluxe version coming out later this year, remastered and with bonus stuff. Get that one once it's available.
