Comic for Monday, March 3rd, 2008

Posted: 7:55 am, Monday, March 3rd
Seven years ago today, I moved into a basement in Queens and began my true tenure in the city of New York. I really can't believe I survived that first year on my own. In addition to not knowing the subway system at all (it took me an average of like three hours to get home whenever I'd go out drinking in the city), I couldn't cook more than, like, two meals, and both of them involved Pasta Roni. I thought about embedding Soul Coughing's the Incumbent in today's blog, but that service with the dancing orange bird I used to use hasn't been letting me post copyrighted stuff lately. Boooo. ("New York, New York, I won't go back/I gave you seven years, what did you give me back?")
Oh, so the Likes outweighed the Don't Likes by, like, four or something, but I counted the Didn't Notices as Likes, also, and I'm kind of enjoying the change in style for a bit. I may go back, I haven't really decided. It takes a little longer to do this way, but I'm liking the look so far.
I don't have a lot to post today - seems to be the trend on the weekends. There was an article about Scrabulous in the Times yesterday. Dudes make $25G a month off of advertising on that thing! Damn. That explains the copyright concerns.
Uh, yeah. That's really all I've got. Sorry.

MNP -- Monday, March 3 2008, 07:43 am As a public service announcement for Five Buckers, I'd like to let everyone know that "Vantage Point" is a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad movie. A waste of $10, and more importantly, a waste of an hour and a half.
SH -- Monday, March 3 2008, 07:56 am try imeem.com if you want to post songs for streaming. It's like Pandora but you pick the songs. And, yes, it is free.
Bullfrog -- Monday, March 3 2008, 08:54 am Ah! Excellent. Thanks. I meant to look into this yesterday, but I wound up playing Oblivion most of my Lent-free Sunday.
