Shuffleboard, shuffleboard.

Posted: 7:00 am, Friday, July 6th

Huh, the Red Ring of Death just got reported on on NPR. That's kind of funny. Also funny, Ashcraft, one of the dude that writes a ton of the Kotaku articles, had an article in ReadyMade magazine, that 2.0 just started getting. (Which has caused Beck's Readymade to play in my head basically non-stop.)

This strip came out a lot better than I had hoped it would. I was really lazy on the Fourth, and we had dinner plans last night, so I basically sat down to do this one at eleven, which is not typically when I do my best work these days. But Vin Scully saw me through, and here we go. Oh, but I think I succeeded in making Adam look less like a chick today. He just has floppy hair.

The Pumpkins announced their tour dates yesterday, but New York is conspicuously absent. I'm sure they're just still working on the dates - unless they're counting tomorrow's Save the Earth concert as their obligatory appearance, which they'd better not be - but looking at the tour, the empty dates when they're in the Northeast are... the weekend of the Pig Roast. Oh well. Hopefully Zeitgeist does well enough to warrant a second album/tour.

Um, and that's it. I'm hecka behind at work, so I've been trying to be good and get shit done instead of look at stuff on the web. I am, of course, failing, but my failure is of such a vein that instead of mindlessly cruising the interweb, I just play Desktop Defense for a while before getting back to work. God damn whoever first posted that in the comments. Oh, one of my coworkers got an iPhone yesterday - I believe I get to touch it today. This is relatively exciting.

I'll see you all on Monday.

I just noticed that the gang is playing on the world's tallest shuffleboard table. My God, that thing is up to their chests.

OMG, the iPhone is really pretty cool to play with.

Man, Furries freak me the hell out. That's evidently not the case with Bob Uecker, though. Who looks like hell, by the way.

Bullfrog, have you and 2.0 been to the Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum recently? They have two exhibits I think you'd love -- the Design Triennial, where I saw ReadyMade, and a really interesting show on "Design for the other 90%" -- design for the "Third World" residents for whom the cost of the Narciso Rodriguez dress in the Design Triennial would buy a year's worth of necessities. Anyway, both fascinating, and both close later this month, I think.

Crap, we'll have to get there. Haven't been since last year's Eating Utensils exhibit. (Which was awesome.) Grazie for the heads-up.

I know I'm posting a lot of crap about the Pumpkins, and I know probably none of you care, but it's my site, so, ptt. I find it hilarious that the discography on the new site lists Billy and Jimmy's side albums, but not James Iha's. (Which I owned.)

My workplace blocks desktop defense. If they hadn't, I would've been fired by now. I usually play the "no sell" level. My bestest is 6100.

Cookie?
