Comic for Monday, March 19th, 2007

Skeeball rules.

Posted: 8:40 am, Monday, March 19th

Oh, man, not even a three-day weekend was enough rest for me. Oh well. We'll make it work, I guess. Friday was a perfect day to stay home here in the New York metro area, though - it snowed and kind of hailed or something for about twenty straight hours. Drawing, watching basketball, and listening to the ice pelt the windows is a really satisfying way for me to spend a day.

I'm currently in the middle of the pack in my office pool, but I'm feeling pretty good because of this sliding point system. I've only lost one team for the Elite Eight - the Irish, I'm a moran - and I'm just one of three people in the office that picked Kansas to win it all, which is worth like 20 points or something ridiculous (again, we have a Canadian making the rules, so they never make much sense). If Memphis upsets tOSU like I think they will (although Guy McGuy's sprained ankle worries me), I'm in good shape.

Anyway, I'd better see what-all damage they managed to inflict upon themselves around here in my absence on Friday. I'm sure some VP managed to staple his eye shut or something without me to keep things under lockdown. Be back later.

Love Cece's shirt.

Bullfrog -- Monday, March 19 2007, 10:14 am

Thanks. Does that shirt exist? It seems so obvious, but I don't know if I've actually seen it.

In addition to going to ND, Dave Kellett and I apparently also find the same dialogue from the Simpsons to be hilarious.

My consolation to the Woo, Secretary. Rough weekend for hoops amongst the site-readers.

And nice site, D-III tournament. Yikes.

The ND women won last night AND ND hockey just won the CCHA (beat Michigan!) and is going into the NCAA tournament as the #2 seed behind Minnesota.

GO IRISH!

Bullfrog -- Monday, March 19 2007, 12:21 pm

I didn't even know the gals made the tournament. Does anyone else find it weird that the CCHA tourney is double elimination, but the NCAA tourney is single?

e -- Monday, March 19 2007, 12:48 pm

I just like that they call it the frozen four.

Secretary -- Monday, March 19 2007, 12:50 pm

I appreciate your condolences. Friday night was painful as I watched the game unfold online.

skt -- Monday, March 19 2007, 02:16 pm

did you really write 'gals'?

ew.

Bullfrog -- Monday, March 19 2007, 02:41 pm

What's wrong with 'gals'?

Miyaa -- Monday, March 19 2007, 04:01 pm

Notre Dame vs. Huntsville. I've lived in Huntsville. Decent town, lousy school. Please, please, please let Notre Dame beat Huntsville 10-0! (Yes, I am bitter.)
