Comic for Tuesday, March 6th, 2007

There's a ten-dollar Threadless sale on right now, under the moniker, "spring broke," which is a fucking joke because it's about absolute zero outside right now.
I cycled through a few different songs for the boys to be singing today - for some reason, the first draft was Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff" because I wanted to emphasize the bad day Ron was having, but then I couldn't imagine that song ever appearing on a karaoke tracklist. Then I had "Fast Car," but Ron didn't get a speeding ticket. I almost went with that song that goes, "All I want to do is to thank you, even though I don't know who you are, you who let me change lanes, while I was driving in my car," but I'm reasonably certain that's about 75% of the lyrics of that one. And then, while listening to the Monkees last week, I thought of the Beach Boys, and locked on target.
What a riveting behind-the-scenes look, huh?
My dad's alma mater just didn't get it done last night. I think this game was on ESPN, which I find hilarious. For my part, I was watching the Cruise with 2.0, an awesome documentary about a dude who does the double-decker bus tours around the city. Or did - I have a feeling he's probably incarcerated or committed by now. He's like Grizzly Man except with a bus and not as wholesale batshit insane.
Ah! Thought of another ridiculous ad! The one where the glass-blower is handmaking a bottle of Michelob. Dear God, the price of Michelob would skyrocket. Plus, it's Michelob. I mean, nice beer and all, but I can't think of the last time I ordered a Michelob if there was almost anything else on tap. (Other than Budweiser.)(And, wait, as usual, I'm lying - the bar on the corner has Michelob Light on tap for two bucks a pint some nights. I guess I order it then.)
That's really all I've got. But, hey, look how early I've got it, huh?

e -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 08:47 am Not sure if I am the only Grey's Anatomy fan, but here's a quiz that tells you which character you are:

Bullfrog -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 09:13 am RAW sent me this on Friday, but our e-mail recently moved to a new server that apparently thought he was spam, and I only just now saw it.

EEEEEEEEE!
MNP -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 09:44 am e - i'll join you in the Grey's Anatomy fan category, although I've only watched them on DVD, so I think I'm at least a season behind. But I'm an Izzie :) who are you?
Bullfrog -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 10:02 am Do any of the men have personalities on that show? 2.0's been watching it the past few weeks and I've yet to tell if any of them do anything but grump around.
2.0 -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 10:33 am So, this will shock you, I'm Meredith on that quiz.
e -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 10:37 am I am Callie O'Malley.
Why would the men need personalities? They are fun to look at (most of them). :-)
2.0 - dark and twisty, huh?
2.0 -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 10:41 am
Callie O'Malley was who I was hoping for. Kudos
Miyaa -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 11:48 am Speaking of beer, if you need a case of "Limited Edition 2006 World Champions St. Louis Cardinals" Budwiser Beer, I might be able to get a case for you, 15.
Although I presume she's got a whole palate of it back in New York. Or wherever she's from.
MNP -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 12:12 pm Wow, they actually convicted Scooter.
the real question is, though, does W pardon him before leaving office?
Pat -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 12:16 pm Grey's Anatomy annoys the shit out of me lately, so I hope to change the subject.
"Appetite for Destruction" is a great workout CD, at least until "Sweet Child". The only better workout album is "Meantime" by Helmet. Discuss.
Pat -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 12:17 pm Odds of Scooter getting a pardon are at least 96.4%.
Making political odds is my shit these days. Still holding steady at 49% likely that the U.S. will start a war with Iran; however I am dropping it down to only 7% likely that GWB will declare martial law in the U.S. before his term ends.
Secretary -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 12:19 pm Woo! I'm Callie. That made my day. Pathetic.
Bullfrog -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 12:25 pm Gray's Anatomy is ridiculous. Which one is Callie?
I don't actually own Appetite for Destruction, which probably just got me permanently blocked from Pat's blog, but I will swear by Andrew W.K.'s "I Get Wet" as a running CD.
And 15 brews her own world champ Cards beer, man. She's hardcore that way.
Bullfrog -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 12:29 pm I'm Miranda. I have no idea who that is.
Bullfrog -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 12:30 pm Oh, the older nurse lady who's usually pretty reasonable. OK, I'm down with that.
Bullfrog -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 01:58 pm You know what I doubt has a deep meaning to it? "300".

Bullfrog -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 02:10 pm I wish *I* had been Izzie on that Gray's Anatomy quiz.

OK, so I don't. But Seth Rogen rules.
15 -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 02:41 pm Yo, Miyaa, I'm intrigued. My (totally stupid, seldom updated) baseball blog is here, shoot me a comment or an email:

Pat -- Tuesday, March 6 2007, 04:53 pm You know what, that Andrew W.K. CD is a good call. I own that one too. One problem though: not a lot of variety from one song to the next.
