This can't end well.

Posted: 8:55 am, Thursday, February 1st

In addition to my good laptop being down and out, my old laptop has some weird affliction where the 8, I, K and comma keys don't work. I think it's a problem Dell had with this model, because my friend the red-headed stepchild had the same problem with her laptop, too. So I have to quick correct the pigdin English the characters speak in every morning in order to make this strip intelligible (ish). Le sigh.

Does Geico know about this? Honestly, how cool is it for a high school mascot to be the Cavemen? My school was just the plain ol' Bulldogs. The Cavemen, though, that's awesome. Plus every captain of every team is Captain Caveman. I used to love that cartoon, but I couldn't tell you why to save my life.

By the way, you know what commerical I liked until I saw what it was for? The one where the stars are going by and the Star Trek music plays, except it's really snow in the headlights. And except it's a fucking Hummer. I'll never feel clean again.

Sorry to be blogging such barebones posts this week, crew, but that's the way it goes. Hopefully I have a little bit of a book report comin' at you tomorrow.

HOORAY!!!!!

You know, this news already makes me bummed that it's the last new Harry Potter... I'm going to be a mess come July!

Sweaty -- Thursday, February 1 2007, 10:04 am

So I was an hour late to work and I had to take a bus instead of a train yesterday because of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Flipping Lite-Brite.

Bullfrog -- Thursday, February 1 2007, 10:05 am

That is fucking awesome. I'm overjoyed by this news. Man, could today get any better? There's probably a PlayStation 3 waiting for me in the meeting I'm about to go to.

Bullfrog -- Thursday, February 1 2007, 10:07 am

Actually, far more likely I'm going to be slain and consumed by the people we're meeting with. Pray for Bullfrog.

The Soxaholix feels your pain, Sweats.

Snow day in Charlotte!

Were cavemen indigenous to Mishawaka?

Wood -- Thursday, February 1 2007, 02:23 pm

So I am going through the Mendoza Course catalog right now to "attempt" to plot my course over the next year. Apparently there is a graduate level course called "The Spirituality of Work." This explores the theological perspectives that have emerged, as applied to the American businessman (or woman), and thier shaping of contemporary attitudes. Interestingly enough this is also a pre-req for a course named "Catholic Social Thought in Business." I dont even want to read the description of that thing.

Bullfrog -- Thursday, February 1 2007, 03:07 pm

They have to make an honest effort, Wood. ND is the only school I've ever heard of that required a year of theology *and* a year of philosophy to graduate from.

There was no PS3 in my meeting for me. Only four hours of talky-talk talk.

At least I don't have another meeting right now. Or a meeting with a priest tonight. Oi.

MJL -- Thursday, February 1 2007, 03:16 pm

Particle man, particle man...

Bullfrog -- Thursday, February 1 2007, 03:28 pm

My Super Bowl squares are in - Bears 6, Colts 3 and Bears 2, Colts 4. I am apparently rooting for a whole lot of field goals.

Wood -- Thursday, February 1 2007, 03:44 pm

I suppose, it was amusing enough while i was scanning the page. They require the MBAs to take some foolish number of ethics courses.... Dont they know ethics has no place in business.
