Comic for Monday, January 22nd, 2007

Posted: 9:00 am, Monday, January 22nd

Word, gang. Hope everyone had a nice weekend and stayed warm - it finally got plenty cold in New York, letting me temporarily forget the fact that we're all going to be underwater in fifteen years or so. How 'bout them Bears? I was at a party last weekend where the host was a Chicagoan with turntables, and he actually spun the Superbowl Shuffle at one point. We can only hope that Rex Grossman gets the boys together to record a followup in the next two weeks. I managed to blindly pick the Bears out of a hat a few weeks back in the pick 'em pool at my office, so, go mini-Ditka.

Longtime readers may remember the saga of watching this random girl named Holly turn 30 a few years back. Well, Holly had a kid the other day, and even though I've only met this person once and don't particularly remember her (at all), the story of the kid's birth effing stresses me out. Yikes.

Uh, what else? I've yet to address my computer issues, so there's not much to be had here for links, really. I'm ordering RAM in mere moments and will hopefully have it by Thursday or so, so hopefully this situation is not long for this world. In the meantime, uh, I'll be around? Sounds good.

Alright, ordered my memory. It was pretty funny, Crucial had by far the most security in place for a web purchase that I've ever experienced. I guess it makes a lot of sense that anyone hacking my identity would probably hit a computer supply outlet on the web. Good times!

No Super Bowl Shuffle please... just keep the blue collar attitude and toss that monkey back on Peyton's back.

Giddy times in Chi-town for the next two weeks.

Sorry, man - Super Bowl Shuffle.

Man, when you're ten years old in the suburbs of Chicago, that was the coolest video ever.

Never caught that Steve Fuller looked like he was being held by gunpoint to do his bit.

I'm sure 2.3 million Bears fans right now are penning new lyrics... "My name is Urlacher, I'm a linebacker, I'm from New Mexico, but I'm no dumb cracker...."

Rage Against the Machine is evidently getting back together.

For one show.

What the fuck?

I just noticed that the squad is playing St. John's tomorrow night, and thought I'd check out what tickets were going for on StubHub. $70 to $280.

I wasn't aware that St. John's basketball was actually an all-nude revue these days.
