Seriously, Ron must be in heaven.

Wow, lookee there - shading! Don't get used to that, although I do like the way it came out. It must be because 2.0 and I watched Cars recently. Pixar is the Rockstar Games of animated flicks right now - I had pretty low expectations for Cars, and it easily surpassed them all. Without really being able to remember the two Toy Story flicks that well, although I remember them as being pretty decent, I'd put Cars third in the Pixar canon after the Incredibles and Monsters, Inc. I really loved the Incredibles.

I'm feeling better today, but was pretty worn down all day yesterday, so I didn't much of a chance to poke around the web. I listened to the rest of that Christmas mash-up mix, and I'm not sold on the entire thing - there's a few tracks that didn't do it for me at all - but since I wasn't really paying attention to it at the time, I don't know which tracks I like and which I don't. I'm going to try and assemble a Christmas mix-tape over the weekend, so I'll throw the good tracks on that.

Oh, happy St. Nicholas Day to ye of German descent in the room. My mom was sick over the weekend, so I don't know if I'm getting my customary box of chocolate or something, but I used to get super-psyched every year as a kid for this little warm-up to Christmas. When I was five or six, I think I got this guy for St. Nick's day. It was awesome. Also, yesterday was, according to the ads Dewar's was running at the end of the Onion podcasts for the last week or two, Repeal Day. I had no idea. And tomorrow's Pearl Harbor day. Man, busy week for second-string observances. (By the way, I think I'm going to kill a lot of time at this site whenever I get the chance.)

OK, gotta run. Hey, I need to get an educational toy for a child between 5 and 12 for the church gift tree - anyone got an idear? I'm sure I'll be able to find something, but suggestions are always welcome.

Do they still make "Speak and Spell"?

Bullfrog -- Wednesday, December 6 2006, 09:30 am

How the hell does Netflix not have the Muppet Christmas Carol available for rental?

Miyaa -- Wednesday, December 6 2006, 09:34 am

Incredibles rocked. I'd be willing to allow Pixar to make a sequel to that movie.

Speaking of Chocolate, this morning, I purchased two bags of blueberries dipped in dark chocolate. Yum.

MJL -- Wednesday, December 6 2006, 12:12 pm

Pixar is pretty sweet. I watch those movies more than many of you will ever know.

Q: How do you know when you live in the suburbs? A: When your wife's commuter train smacks a deer.

Bullfrog -- Wednesday, December 6 2006, 12:23 pm

I don't doubt it.

Q: How do you know you live in the sticks? A: When you're one of fifteen males in your grade attending school that day because it's the first day of deer hunting season.

Oh, man, pleasepleasePLEASE let Bernie Kosar coach the Miami Hurricanes. There's no way that couldn't work out to an annual 7-5 record.

In a vaguely related note, I acquired Bernie Kosar to QB the '93 or '94 Redskins on Front Page Sports Football Pro back in the day, and won the Super Bowl with him. Steve DeBerg was the backup.
