Ron's being quite domestic lately, no?

Posted: 7:30 am, Monday, May 22nd

So, I totally should've run this one last Monday, when Lissa asking Ron to the wedding was still something of a current event. But I guess we'll just figure that all of last week was the day immediately after the talk on the couch, and Ron and Pete just hadn't seen each other yet to catch up and touch base. (Really, all the visitors and going out of town just totally made me lose my place with the strip. I'm lucky I haven't done something really goofy like run an old strip where Ron and Kelly were still together or something.)

Oh, also - I'm not really that down on weddings. I rather enjoy them, honestly. Just seems like Ron would feel this way at the moment.

Somebody in the forums at Human Goiter-Sox Fan (by the way, Billy Wagner is terrible) pointed out that the always-excellent Uni Watch column actually has a kick-ass blog that updates very regularly. Sweet! Same dude also blogs about ridiculous consumer packaging, which appeals to me greatly. Good finds, dude in the forum.

This is by far the most random stupid quiz ad bar I've ever seen on the internet.

I was having an extremely hard time finding a MySpace disaster yesterday. Usually my good friend Tom helps steer me right to some absolute freakshows, but no one I could find yesterday was that special combination of awful profile and absolute lack of understanding of the phrase 'pleasing to the eye.' Then I decided to run a search for the word 'juggalo.' And all my prayers were answered. (sound)

As a nice counterbalance to today's MySpace nightmare, I'm also linking to the Elements of Typographic Styles Applied to the Web for kind of a cleansing purpose.

Hey, check out all the problems solved by MacGyver. My God, the internet is fantastic.

So, the curtain fell on 2.0's show, and I think everyone was pretty happy with the way the entire thing worked out. So I can stop harassing you about that. But tonight! Tonight there is a Drink at Work Presents thing going on a Siberia (not Antarctica), and they're always good times. I'm hoping to make it, unless we win our softball game and I wind up getting waylaid in the land of company-bought drinks afterwards. I also may not make it if the softball team loses, because we're playing Lifetime TV and if we lose, I may just kill myself.

The conductor on my train this morning announced that we were holding for the "E for echo" train. I like to think it was actually "Eko," though. C'mon, Wednesday..

Anyone looking to see a good movie, I'd like to recommend "Thank you for smoking" - it's been out forever, so I'm probably behind the curve, but saw it with Mr. MNP this weekend & it's very funny & clever.

Second that, MNP. The scene with that one kid from the OC and Rob Lowe in it was fantastic. "As you can see, Jeff loves Asian shit."
