Comic for Wednesday, May 10th, 2006

God help us, every one!

Posted: 7:35 am, Wednesday, May 10th

I shall begin today by righting a wrong - because I'm a nit, I've forgotten to list ad's blog in the links. Consider that a thing of the past.

Interesting bit from the Times yesterday about the interweb rights for Colbert's skewering of the Right. Evidently, C-Span successfully got something removed from YouTube, which is shocking for me to learn. I guess everyone figures that the people at C-Span watch hours upon hours of Congressional coverage, so they probably really know the law and are not to be fucked with. Or, they are horrendously boring, and the YouTubers just don't want to talk to them. Anyway, the whole thing's on Google video now, if you want to see it.

I apparently saw Tim Robbins a few weeks back. I didn't notice. I never notice. I have the worst track record with celebrity sightings of any New Yorker I know. Anyway, this is a really cool celebrity sighting. Of Tim Robbins.

Possibly the strangest search I've seen yet for this site.

Dan Smith will teach you guitar, whether or not you like it.

And here's today's MySpace Horrorshow of the day! I'm enjoying this already. Although, this explains a lot of fashion I've seen out and about.

By the way, I missed the Gilmore Girls last night to go watch the Sox slap Slappy and the Boys around, so feel free not to discuss last night's season finale.

Oh, hey - go see this:

I always think of Mr. Willoughby's Christmas tree when I see Pratt's address.

As I'm driving into work today NPR's local lady comes on to tell me about the traffic...at the end of the normal fender bender stuff she says "And if you're down in Union County, be careful because there's a bull running around in the road causing all sorts of mess."

I love North Carolina.

I missed Gilmore Girls last night by going to a book club with a girl who talks more than any person I've ever met in my entire life. So, I'm glad you're not discussing it today! Is Lissa wearing a My Little Pony t-shirt?

Bullfrog -- Wednesday, May 10 2006, 08:35 am

No, actually, she's wearing a shirt with humping unicorns on it.

Ok, then!

Bullfrog -- Wednesday, May 10 2006, 08:51 am

Five Bucks to Friday: Always a class act!

ad -- Wednesday, May 10 2006, 08:53 am

Hey, thanks for the listing. This means I may end up getting traffic from folks who don't actually know me - Oh, the pressure.

Bullfrog -- Wednesday, May 10 2006, 09:15 am

No problem, ad. Sorry I'm a moran.

Bullfrog -- Wednesday, May 10 2006, 09:51 am

Apropos of not much, really, the Post's front headline today is "Nuke Kook's I-Rant". I freaking hate the Post.

Bullfrog -- Wednesday, May 10 2006, 10:07 am

Grafe just found this in the Washington Post - the cost of the Iraq invasion is about the exceed the anticipated cost of complying to the Kyoto Protocol. The cost was Bush's reason (at the time) for not participating, since he wasn't really out in the open about not believing in science until after 9/11, when he went from universally scorned piece of shit to 'decider'.

Is that Big Bird and Snuffleuffulegus on Ron's lampshade? Has that always been there and I just never noticed before?

Bullfrog -- Wednesday, May 10 2006, 10:55 am

It's always to the right of the couch, just the right of the couch isn't always in the panel.

Also, you can't see it because Ron's in front of it, but Cookie Monster is holding the lamp up.

MJ -- Wednesday, May 10 2006, 04:08 pm

For my next career, I think I'm gonna be a forest ranger or something. It's been that kind of day.

If it hadn't been that kind of day, I'd look up MNP's spelling on Snuffle....... ;-)

Bullfrog - did you see this yet regarding Hold Steady's summer tour? Just thought I'd pass this on:

Bullfrog -- Wednesday, May 10 2006, 04:51 pm

I'm so happy the fucking MBAers have made such a mockery of our school that we take shots during a friggin' Derby montage.

Princess Di -- Wednesday, May 10 2006, 06:12 pm
